Hostal La Fontana is located in the heart of Madrid just a few metres from the Gran Vía, near the very centre of Madrid, the Puerta del Sol and many other attractions. This neighbourhood is an exciting place to stay with plenty of charming little bars, restaurants and nightclubs to keep you occupied day and night. From here you can easily reach some of the most interesting sites in the city like the Royal Palace, Prado Museum, Plaza Mayor and more. The gay friendly Chueca area is right nearby as is the bohemian Malasana. Both excellent for enjoying a nice coffee outdoors in a tree lined pedestrian plaza. You can also find plenty of shopping in this area. To go further afield, just take the nearby Gran Via Metro, lines (1 and 5).
The hostel is located on the first floor of a beautiful building built in 1884, and has a total of 17 single, double, twin and triple rooms with private bathroom or shared bathroom. The charming rooms have heating, telephone, piped music, fans and television. They also have windows with natural light, double glazing to prevent excessive noise and ceiling fans for hot nights. There is a 24 hour reception, laundry service, luggage storage, TV lounge and internet in common areas. Smoking is permitted in this establishment.

El Hostal La Fontana está en el corazón de Madrid, a pocos metros de la Gran Vía y cerca de la Puerta del Sol. El barrio es un lugar emocionante donde alojarse porque tiene un montón de pequeños bares con encanto, restaurantes y discotecas para mantenerte ocupado día y noche. Desde aquí se puede llegar fácilmente a algunos de los lugares más interesantes de la ciudad como el Palacio Real, el Museo del Prado, la Plaza Mayor. La zona gay friendly de Chueca y el barrio bohemio de Malasaña están muy cerca. Ambas zonas son perfectas para disfrutar de un buen café al aire libre en sus arboladas zonas peatonales. También podrás encontrar un montón de opciones para ir de compras en esta área. Para ir más lejos, puedes tomar el metro en la cercana Gran Vía por donde pasan las líneas 1 y 5.
