@lapislazuli7 Thank you for confirming the lack of music in the original film as well as citing the original routine that it appeared in. I had a feeling that Groucho & Harpo were spoofing a classic silent scene when they did this but I had no idea what the original was. I even enjoyed the "I Love Lucy" episode where Lucy did it with Harpo! I guess the classics never grow old.
@weikko79 From what I recall, the original scene was done in complete silence! It was as though Groucho & Harpo were competing with Chaplin and Keaton as well as pre-talkie Laurel & Hardy. I guess they were, but I enjoyed it more because there wasn't a laugh-track telling me that it was funny! I laughed my head off without it!
Why is the mirror sequence "enhanced" with music? It would work much better with a laugh track (which is, indeed, the way it's always seen in the movies).

@Elric33239 The scene is indeed without dialogue or music, you can also find it here on YT.
BTW: It was done first by silent film comedian Max Linder.

Comedy heroes here are Phil Silvers as Sgt Bilko, Tony Hancock, Groucho Marx, Charlie Chaplin and Beyond the Fringe.
