Two photon imaging of a subpopulation of neurons in a transgenic mouse retina known as the "PV retina". The neurons express yellow fluorescence protein (YFP), making it possible to visualize the cell body, axons and dendrites with a two-photon microscope. Furthermore, the neurons can be targeted with a patch electrode for neurophysiological studies.
