Amateur Paragliding

My friends bought a paraglider from eBay, the instructions were in French, so we only had a vague idea of how to fly it.

This video is from June 2004, where we spent the day trying to get it to fly, with mixed results.

You guys really did capture the "spirt" of why us adventure types or any type trys anything new in the first place..... Hell, the human race wouldn't even be here if each and every single one of us didn't try something new to us once.... Yes, that would be sex ! and I am sure this was almost as thrilling.... till you learned it was "dangourous" continue to keep the spirt alive guys.... and yourselves while your at it! I just learned of this sport last night @ 1am and its 6pm right now... and cant stop researching it.... I have never commented before but really want to thank you guys for saving my life...... before seeing this, I thought I had learned all that there is to know.... and was going to dump 7 grand.... and give it a go myself... No longer... Thank you for not deleting this, Please tell the guys that I am nameing my first child either Barney or Sue... =)

I also taught myself to fly, but first you must learn the art of groundhandeling , how to take off in high winds and how to react if the parachute(wing) clolapse. You've got a lot of shots on the internet and they explain in detail how to operate a paraglider and to do this safely as possible.
