First run of the 6.2L TurboDiesel in my 67 C-30 pickup. It is a 40,000 mile military takeout 6.2L, turbocharged using1993 6.5L turbo and manifolds. It has 6.5L marine injectors, and DSG main stud girdle. I built a custom pressure out of a '70 Porsche air cleaner and used a dual plane non-EGR intake. I also built a custom 4" discharge housing for the exhaust. The original 6.5 piece is very restrictive is only about 2.5" on the inside. It will allow me run a true 4" exhaust system from the turbo all the way out. It sounds WAY better and deeper than original 6.5 housing. I couldn't run but a little since I don't have radiator installed yet!:)

  • damn had me confused that it was a detroit at first

  • @cullen9017 It is a Detroit

  • Does this have 18:1 pistons?

  • @Hotrodx199 No, it is has stock pistons. I installed a DSG stud girdle, and I'm limiting the boost to about 10 psi.

  • where did you get that presure chamber from? and how did you mount it using only one bolt?

  • @6030diesel

Do a search for 67 C-30 Dually pickup build, and you can see detailed pics of everything.

  • @67C30 Wow it looks great for 2 years old, that paint must have some very heady duty binders to stick so well. Does it chip or scratch easily?

  • @jmac5058 yup

  • @novachevyguy Ya dont you know where a carbs placement is on most motors.im not saying diesels have a carb,it says would be.You too stupid to figure ti out from there. The post before this could not see where the charge entered the motor.Sorry I guess you got me.

  • @jmac5058 where the carb would be??? wtf?

  • You should advertise that custom pipe yoy made for the exhaust, after adding a turbo (like many do with a 6.2) the less restriction makes a big differance in sound not to mention the fue more HP and MPG you gain.

  • Sounds great and looks awesome! I would love to do that to mine. Great job man!

  • Very nice, I love the old pingy diesels.

  • i like your 82' twin screw on fuel filter setup

  • lol that alternator looks military stock. what kind of power boost you gettin out of your mods?

  • where does your oil feed to your turbo tap into?

  • im looking to build a 6.2 like this any advice? I heard some years are better to turbo then others because of injector length? Is that just a 6.5 setup
