The mint julep is the official Kentucky Derby drink with over 120,000 served each year at Churchill Downs.

Jason Falls demonstrates how to make this legendary drink with the recipe of bourbon, sugar water and a sprig of mint. In typical Falls fashion, he adds his own twist by showing you the Eastern Kentucky recipe as a free bonus.

  • @fetymann OH THANK GOD I'M NOT ALONE. All I could think was "Batista, what happened to your hat?!?"

  • Whoa!! the thumbnail of this video made me click on it. I thought you were David Zayas from Dexter. Search Google Images for his name, see the pics of him wearing a off-white colored hat kinda like yours. See the similarity? haha crazy

  • @revbleech Hahaha yeah, it looks a little plastic-ey being upturned.

  • I don't like the taste of bourbon on the rocks. Only neat. Unless it's a mint julep.

  • Hahaha I once asked someone what their favorite martini recipe was and he said, "Oh that's easy. I take my favorite bourbon and pour it into a rocks glass with ice. You can call that a whiskey-tini if you'd like, but I just call it good."

  • sugar water = simple syrup.

    say it, dude
