It's You was shot during Fall '02 -- Summer '03. It never had a schedule or a script and was shot on days when the cast and crew had nothing better to do. I was in ninth grade during the production of the film and this was supposed to be my first full-length feature. As it turns out, the last half hour of the film was the only thing that really got made. We shot other scenes here and there, but nothing that could be strung together and make sense.
I hope you get a kick out of this, seeing as how I was still learning how to do things with lighting and cinematography. There are glimpses of things to come, but nothing that great. This is one the first films of mine to feature gore. The scene in the bathroom, although short, is very sweet. It should also be noted that I have a bad lisp in several scenes because of the retainer I had to wear at the time. I hated that thing.
Anyway, this one is fun as hell to sit back and watch, because the whole time we were shooting the film we thought it was something amazing. Of course, that's far from the truth.
PLOT:
Elizabeth Alphonse stars as Anne, a tenacious reporter who works for the Channel 5 News Station. She hasn't had a good story in months and her boss is on the verge of firing her. A madman begins kidnapping and killing people left and right, giving Anne the perfect way to get her career back on track.
To her advantage, one of the killer's intended victim's survives and Anne interviews them. However, once the interview goes public Anne becomes a target on the killer's hit list. She now must find the killer's identity quick, or she might not live long enough to ever give another newscast.
Best thing to keep in mind is that it was filmed about six years ago. We've grown as filmmakers/actors so much since this was filmed.
Thanks for the comment!
