Ok... I've worked on a few points. The birds are grey now when they are not following Charlie. When activating they boost some particles and get blue.
This way it is more obvious which one is active and which not.
I have added a new block. The one with grass on top of it.
And I have Waterphysics now. I tried to give him a nice flow underwater. So he is not as responsive as on the ground, but still has good controls. He needs some nice bubble and watersplash effects now :)
Underwater he has two different animations atm. One when he is staying on one place, and a second when he starts to swim. The transision between those two animations takes 15 frames. This way it has some nice inertance motion...
I'm really impressed with both this, and what we've seen of Orbito. I wish I could play them now. I also am interested in how you've modeled your characters, and wonder if you'd be willing to post a tutorial on their modeling. They seem fairly basic in shape (not a very high poly count), but yet still have a lot of detail.

That is pretty neat. I like how the crystals have that blue glow in the dark like something out of the compositor. I think it's very nice work, and looks great, very much like good animation, especially for a game.
Great work so far.
You put that on the web as a freebie you're likely to have a cult hit on your hands.

I've been wondering alot lately on how you create those characters.
Characters like "Little Lizard", "Orbito" and "Charlie" .
Whats your workflow? Do you have concepts?
