Cardiff students find voice with visiting performance poet

Monday 23rd November- Thursday 26th November

During November 2009 students at four high schools in Cardiff welcomed the Liverpool-based performance poet, Levi Tafari. Willows High, Cardiff High, Fitzalan High and Cathays High are all linked with partner schools in Belgium and the Netherlands as part of the British Council INDIE project. The poet's visit to Wales has also received the support of Academi, the Welsh National Literature Promotion Agency.

Inclusion and Diversity in Education (INDIE) is a British Council led project aimed at promoting social cohesion and raising educational standards in culturally inclusive schools. It is run in collaboration with local and regional education authorities from nine EU Member States: Belgium, Germany, Greece, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom.
