I thought this game looked a little silly having two suave, males in speedos :p

I knew the character looked a little feminine when in side view on the NES version...it seemed uber lame(with huge feminine thighs percing out my male hero character). I cant help but note I like the graphics better here but the NES version seems to be better....more epic with the dragon and devil references. That giant ship used to scare me and the world inside the huge mouth was more eerie looking. The side scrolling was better too(jumping is lame when you have wings).
