Some tips for practising, performing, etc.

Seriously though, chapstick is VITAL during the winter years - I was gonna make a vid specifically highlighting this. The incident I talk about is completely true - I was literally peeling my lips off next morning, they were so sore it's hard to describe. Could barely talk without them cracking and bleeding. Sound nasty? It is. Wear chapstick.

Athough if anybody can tell me a macho way of applying it I'm all ears.

Can you use beer as a substitute for water?

@srdrftr It isn't recommended - beer will give you very frothy phlegm which will clog your throat while you beatbox making it hard to produce clear sounds, and making it hard to breathe.

i got a question when recording a video on youtube for beatboxing should you plug in your mike into the computer or plug it to a speaker system to make it sound better because everytime i use a mic it sounds really breathy

@wolfgang15425 If you sound breathy using a mic, just don't use a mic - using a microphone plugged into a sound system give a horrible second-hand audio effect. Search for my Roland Street Cube review for an idea of how terrible it sounds when you do this.

im new at this and am a trumpet player i have watched alot of videos but i go back to my mouthpiece placement any advice as to get it a lil cleaner and get away from blowing out instead of in?
