  • More or less if you want to do this via terminal the commands would look something like this.

    sudo rm /usr/share/sounds/ubuntu/stere­o/desktop-login.ogg

    sudo mv [/newsound/location] usr/share/sounds/ubuntu/stereo

  • go to your sound preferences and were it says sound themes, make sure yours its selected to ubuntu .
