i was wondering is it gonna be mostly theory or the science based subjects later on in my other semesters.

hello i am in my first sem of the nursing program. i was just wondering, is the majority of the program gonna be based on theory and like concepts and stuff or is it just for the beginning. My 1st sem courses are mostly all theory, like what the definition of health is for evry individual and how they see things. I was kinda hoping that the majority of the courses will later switch on to the science based applications such as the patho and anatomy and stuf since i enjoy those courses a lot more.

In our school, if you fail two classes, they take you out of the program! Pretty intense!!

I just so sick and tired of hearing about maternity complications. Most of them we never got to see at all anyway, I was the only person in my class of 70 to see a person with eclampsia.
However, I did get to help with my first surgery, a C-Section, which was awesome. It was a totally surreal experience, I was like "in the moment", if that makes any sense.
@TheStrawberryPhantom Yeah you are nerdy for saying that, jk lol
No there is nothing wrong with that because thats passion just
make sure you stay like that throughout the program

I had Maternal/Newborn, Pediatrics 1, Physical Assessment, and Pathophysiology last semester. All of the nursing students who just graduated said that Maternal/Newborn (also known to most of us as just plain "OB") was by far the hardest class the entire time they were in nursing school. That class whooped my ass.

@GingerDemarque Maternal/newborn was crazy for me due to educating and teaching a mother how to properly breastfeed with my instructor present.....hahahhaa now that was insane!!!!
