This is part one of a compilation of the slimings, waterings and pieings that occurred on the surviving episodes of the first season of You Can't Do That On Television, circa 1979.

Of the 13 episodes that were shown, only three episodes exist in the form of home copies (the masters were destroyed by CJOH).

I think all these episodes fom 1979 are off air recordings because the station that made them in 1979 erased the master recordings and didnt sell them to Nickelodeon

@MrJacMac1986 You're exactly right. These were home recordings, as noted. The masters for the 1979 season were destroyed. The masters for the other seasons afterward are OK.

@Sammy4549 No, that isn't Vanessa. First off, that's a guy! Secondly, Vanessa didn't join the show until 1982 (she would have been seven years old when the show first aired locally in Ottawa). Finally, the name of the guy in question here is Jim Stechyson. He only appeared for only the 1979 season.

Interesting that they actually name a specific brand 5:43 of pie (McCain).

I'm pretty sure that YCDTOTV did use McCain pies, especially in the 1981 "Drugs" episode.
