Members of the law fraternity are now asking the four judicial nominees to decline their appointments owing to the massive outcry over the process. At joint news conference members of the Law Society of Kenya, the International Commission of Jurists and Fida Kenya termed the nominations as unconstitutional. The team, which says it will soon hold a protest march, is also asking the president to withdraw the names and start the process afresh.
We are a civilized democracy we cannot have seniles running around beheading the force of justice. Kibaki has not for the first time shown his Omnipotent dis-regard for the people of this country. He better tack up and sleeve up cause we voted for this constitution and dammed if he and his glorious bastards think they will back track this country to anarchy and instability of years past.

Yes, I want uncompromised impartial and independent judiciary accepted by the public. But I’m tired of one selfish man who with the slight infraction of his happiness decides the whole country has to up in flames. Raila decided to ignore all these bodies which are essential in the process with the anticipation of sharing the spoils with Kibaki who can’t be trusted ati weka mtu wangu hapa na wewe weka wako pale. Raila has been shafted so many times by Kibaki his ass should be sore by now.

We have become a nation of whiners and wimps who smirk and complain because a guy named Riaga Omollo was not named the Chief Justice. And to compound our problems, the whole country has been reduced to one big kindergarten class. The Judiciary groups has turned our nation into one big joke as Odinga and his Spin Doctors fabricate one lie after the other in attempts to satisfy the curiosity of their perceived kindergarten citizenry.
My reaction? Grow UP- quit your complaining and get over it!

If like Sudan, Kenya were to be sub-divided, then I would want to be on Kibakis side. I would like to have my pie now and not that promised from up high in the sky, unattainable. This persistent bleating is horrible. Parliament will vet the nominees and whoever is rejected by Parliament will be dropped from the list. If some Kenyans do not want to have a decision-making President then they should get rid of that position. I applaud Kibaki for stopping this silly anarchy of indecision.

@siasabora They should if they are men of integrity. The spirit of the constitution is that all three arms of the Government should be independent. How do you expect the judiciary to be independent if the president head hunts for the CJ? He should let JCS do the job. It is also very interesting that he should propose Kenyatta's lawyer for Ag, and Ruto's lawyer for DPP.

This is a pointer to the fact that we are not far from 2007.These culprits who instigated the Violence should face the Hague. In fact they should be picked up immediately.Otherwise 2012 will be worse.
And as long as Francis Muthaura is serving as the Chief Secretary we will never have amicable peace in Kenya.
We have to follow the Law.Tribe does not come in,it is the Law.
We have qualified and Strong Women who can adequately serve this Country as CJ or Attorney General.
