Pink Taco Protested By Animal Rights Activists

The Companion Animal Protection Society and grass roots animal rights activists protested Pink Taco in Los Angeles California on May 8th. Pink Taco had rented a donkey who was shaved and painted pink, tied up outside the restaurant for hours in the sun. The animal was removed by Los Angeles animal services.

In 2008, Pink Taco exploited another donkey in the same way. After animal rights activists complained, Pink Taco promised PETA to never again use live animals in their promotions. They reneged on their agreement with PETA by pulling the same, callous stunt this year, angering the animal protection community.

The company that rented out the donkey, Phil's Animal Rentals, is under investigation by animal rights organizations.

This stunt made me sick to my stomach. Whomever said it was never even 70 degrees is nuts. It was in the 90's and I have the sunburn from floating in my pool to prove it. I have public records stating it was in the mid 80's where the donkey was. He didn't have a choice .. so DJ ... paint yourself pink, shaved and go stand in the sun tied up .. This is an utter disgrace .. PS their food sucks too!

And why don't you look into how the animals are treated by the rental company? Have YOU see their inspection reports? No? I guess you're too busy spinning at dumb parties with rented girls.

@hollywoodjinky I just went to weather.com typed in 90067 where it asks for zip code (this is the zipcode for westfield century city mall) and clicked on the Month view tab. According to weather.com the hi was 70 and the lo was 55. I encourage everyone to do the same.

This made me cry. Stupid, cruel, pointless. I hope their business suffers like they made that poor donkey suffer. My hope is that they WILL apologize, see the error of their ways and never, NEVER do anything like that again.
