This was a real racetrack, today's Hockenheim has nothing from the spirit of this track.
Pironi was a good driver, unfortunately he did some things he shouldnt have done.

I dont understand why they ripped up the old track, why not leave it there for a bit of fun on the weekends, i would love to have driven it.

they ruined this track! it was one of the only circuits on the f1 calender where the cars regularly hit well over 200 mph 3 times a lap, well done to hermann tilke, another great track ruined!
