Would like to point out the second time you strum through the Am it's meant to be an Am7. so its actually G, D, Am, Am7.

Been playing this KIND of for years... kind of did my own fill for the Am and C notes. Thanks for simplifying the strumming pattern there. The difference between good and bad is in the details.
