No it doesn't. There have been cases of gay employees going to their employers to get medical coverage for their domestic partners, only to be told "company policy says we give coverage to spouses. You're partner isn't your spouse, because your not married."

Gay people deserve to have the rights that straight people do, simply because they're straight.

I appreciate you at least reading my point of view....

In regards to the one comment on my page...I leave it up as a constant reminder to me that even though the NO side screams for tolerance, some of the No voters are not seeing tolerance as a two way street. Its comments like that which prove the hypocracy of several commenters.

Besides throwing around the term "separate but equal" to connotate times of slavery and inequality...please be aware that separation is well embeded in our everyday govt. I may pay taxes like everyone does (equal) but I might pay 28% when some else pays 35%...(separate). Dont think it doesnt happen.

Prop 8 was about protecting traditional marriage ...it was not geared to alienate a group of people, as was determined by the votes and the judges.
