A British film about computers from 1969. It is presented here as a historical look at how computers used to be in the 1960's when PC's and Macs were over 10 years away.

Shown in three parts. Sorry, but the 16mm print is rather battered!

To my surprise this clip was featured in 'The Guardian' newspaper's Technology supplement on Thursday December 6th 2007.

  • @dragonwar524 They are weak and insignificant, that is why they are most likely to get nuked than USA, Russia, etc..

  • @WarmongerWW3 iran is the only poor and weak country then?

  • @dragonwar524 oh really? so why the new Nuclear Posture Review (NPR) excludes Iran?

  • Is it me or does every single person in this film fit some kind of stereotype "pigeon hole"? The banker, the farmer, the professor etc. These days its hard to do that.

  • @WarmongerWW3 actually only they would not as they dont have any so they are not a threat so countries with nukes would be targeted before they got targeted themselves (or it would be cold war 2)

  • @dragonwar524 Only poor and weak countries will be nuked.

  • @WarmongerWW3 none wel get nuked

  • 0:54 maaan.
