@Nordic80 A gas turbine would be lighter and/or more powerful, but would be MUCH more expensive and would compromise underwater run time given the much greater air consumption vs a reciprocating engine. What I am surprised about is that it uses a propeller and not a pump-jet.

WTF... I want one!!! Please some rich person contact me and let me come for a ride!!!
-
Some drunk asshole may try to harpoon me in it! But I think its cool!

@ymogr actually turbine engines have a huge power to weight ratio, but yes, they still require lots of fuel, even when idling, compared to an engine that does not utilize the Brayton cycle.
-
but will it blend?

Dear Santa......

What a retard? Try to blame innocent marines?

I wonder how much slower this would be in compared to a Sea Arrow MK-VI fully upgraded

@stevenbooii420 Tom Rowe! We lived next door to him on Ricardo St in Redding. He is a great man!
The price seems to be too high, they just derive benefit from this product because they are the only on this market with this unique product.

You're propably right cosminx2003 !
Having seen it from up close, apart from the R&D part of the project and work by hand that might be involed , it doesn't seem such an expensive construction.
Still if you keep in mind their target buyers, it won't seem to expensive to them. It's just an other relative expensive toy, (probably will be mounted on large yachts along with the jet skis ...)

Take the propeller of that thing and make it run with a turbine and i buy one.. =) Or is a turbine less effective?

a turbine is heavier and more fuel demanding wich also ads weight.. not to mention cost. I 'm sure though that we 'll see that in the future !

@ymogr omg a turbine is a burning engine so it needs air so u cant use it under water

@MrMuscleMacho - It retains enough air to work underwater for 20 or more seconds.
