AG Martha Coakley Announces MA Suit Against Big Banks & MERS

In this press conference on December 1, 2011, Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley announced that the commonwealth had filed a lawsuit against five major banks. The banks included were Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Citi, GMAC, MERS and MERS Corp. The banks were engaging in unfair and deceptive practices in foreclosures. It is about time these AG's stood up to these banksters and MERS and force them to be accountable. They will move through litigation aggressively , and they should. This is just an outrage home owners are being foreclosed on illegally. In fact, even by means of forged documents, I mean really, this is no doubt the largest crime of our time that has caused the economy to collapse. It is important to know this is happening all over the country. It is time to stand up and fight these to big to fail banks that were bailed out on our tax dollars. It's about time, this should be the start of something really big to make these banksters be accountable! I am so glad to see the AG's not give in to the pressure they have been getting to let the banks off the hook by signing the settlement. It's time to stand up and fight all across this great country, and I don't mean pitch a tent in the middle of a park.
