A good hack and slash adventure, your quest starts above ground and it doesn't take long before your attacked by weird creatures, you better find some equipment and weapons and start fighting back.
The video shows the later, underground level, you need to find keys to access new areas.

I loved the first psygnosis barbarian, me and my brother completed it after many late nights, great having them on a psp thanks to pspuaea nd Mr FOL.

I think it was unknown because of the name...regarding how much differents Barbarian games exist and the very similar names.. Great game though, and I think I've managed to finish it if I remember well, the only thing I didnt like about it was the "activate all the buttons/chains/levers in the right order" Puzzles (especially the one opening a door behind a waterfall)

Good video, I had this game on my Atari ST and loved it dearly, but not many people have heard of it. It was damn hard though; it got to the last boss once but couldn't beat him, and never got that far again. Great game though; would be superb with an HD re-release (and slightly easier difficulty!).
