Bassnectar Metallica-Mix Southern Comfort Music Fest Denver

Bassnectar brings the 'whomp' to the Southern Comfort one day music festival, 6-28-08. 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' has always been one of my favorite Metallica songs, it was on the first album I ever bought--Ride the Lightning but listening to Bassnectar's version has made me fall in love with the original all over again.

The bass frequencies where so low and intense that I could feel them on the hair on my arms, really great and strange feeling. Unfortunately, however, my little flip video camera's mic really couldn't handle it all. The sound quality here is sub-par, but if you have good high quality headphones you'll get a better sound out of this video.

Yeah I've never heard this song anywhere other than at two live shows. Lorin doesn't put out a lot of stuff out there, and given that it is a Metallica song, I doubt it will ever be officially released. More reason to go to the lives shows though!
