Obama pushes pie-in-the-sky "solutions" which are no solutions and are much further from reality than drilling for American oil here and now. And it doesn't HAVE to take 10 years before we can access oil here. That time estimate is only based on how long things have taken in the past, when there was no rush. If we implemented a "man-on-the-moon" effort to get the oil drilled much more quickly, it surely would happen, plus the very fact we were would lower prices significantly right now.

Obama is against clean, safe, & cheap nuclear energy so that we rely more on coal pollution and further bankrupt America pursuing technologies that aren't anywhere near ready OR even effective at taking a dent out of our growing need. Obama's against domestic energy exploration.
John McCain has the leadership & experience to know we need to DO EVERYTHING we can to solve our energy crisis & not continue to pay $700 billion to foreign oil exporters a year!
Obama = $8/gal gasoline! Just watch!

The Responsible Federal Oil and Gas Lease Act of 2008 H.R. 6251 is a direct response to the facts outlined in the recent House Natural Resources Committee Majority Staff report, "The Truth About America's Energy:Big Oil Stockpiles Supplies and Pockets Profits",that illustrate how energy companies are not using the federal lands and waters that are already open to drilling. The legislation is co-sponsored by Reps. Rahm Emanuel(D-IL), Maurice Hinchey(D-NY),Ed Markey(D-MA),and John Yarmuth(D-KY).

That is a lie. Obama doesn't have a problem with oil companies drilling on the millions of acres of lands that they already have leases on.
