Vlog 005: Child Identity Theft/Fathers Rights

In this vlog I discuss what is going on in my life, and the whole Child Identity issue. I am a father who has steped up to the plate sort of speak and have been fighting for my rights as a parent when it comes to placement and custody of my child. These are just some events that I'm dealing with as of 9/02/08

Wow! I feel for you, PoisonStinger, as well as for Kyla and Riddlegirl. Kudos to you for loving and protecting your daughter. However, I really agree with Kode100 below--you need to REMOVE this video! While I totally agree with you on this, you saying that her mom's family is badmouthing you, you also have just done that publicly on YouTube for the world.

I do have a lawyer, and because no one on youtube knows my full name or any of my family theirs really nothing that my ex can say because I'm not technicly bad mouthing them.

I think Father's rights are not given enough. Just because you give birth to a child does NOT mean you love it more than someone that did not give birth to it, and just because you gave birth to this child does not give you the all say power over this child's life. My husband and I are expecting in March 2009 and I know that I will love this child but my husband and I will be equal in providing care for it. (sorry if I spelled anything wrong) Go Stinger!

That's quite a story, P/S... If you don't mind, I will pray for the whole situation... that's not easy or fun or right or fair... Keep being a good father. Your daughter's safety is priority. This sounds like something my ex would do. Ireccently was awarded physical custody of my son. In addition had garnished child support terminated. I never thought I'd see this day happen since fathers always screwed. I didn't need money went pro se and accomplished custody and child support on my own.

I understand I had a parent just like her. Just a quick note most Ins card dont have to have ss# on them because of that same reason all you have to do is request to take her ss# out. And I would strongly sugest you change her SS# if it can be done. Good luck with the custudy.

I can understand your situation but .....dont expect a miracle.... NO matter what here we have been dealing with parents using their childrens names and social security to get what they want ...they are successful and they dont get prosecuted. Oh sure shame shame and everyone is shocked but not shocked enough to do anything about... your life as you know it will be controlled by wifey -N- her family have your mom call me i CAN SHOW YOU HOW TO GET HER

Ok for one this is my husbands account so dont worry when i start saying im a mother blah blah blah. Ok i just want to let you know that as a mother of 3 kids and its just appaling to me to see her mother do that to her. And just some advice and i dunno if it will do you any good change her ss number and do a credit check on her. It will tell you everything your child has in her name.

amazing that you can do yor show and still have a quick wit and good humor,your very srong minded individual,hang in there,my son went thru a situation like yours,but there was 4 children involved,and the ex--like yours..is a con-artist and scammer..uses the chidren a pawns..that was fucked up with the phone..typical dumb cop,the standards to become a police officer are a joke these days..My mother use to say,"No matter how bad, it seems at the time,it always works out for the best"she was right

I agree! I am adopted from birth my parents told me as soon as i could understand that i was, when i was 18 i meet my bio mom thinking everything would be perfict. It wasn't like you said just cause she gave birth to me she didn't love me like my mom does or my Dad!!

Both my children are adopted, and I had one of the biological moms do the same thing to one of my girls. If you go to your local social security office and explain what is happening they may change her social security number, they did for me. I know that's not really your point, but it will give your daughter a clean slate. If you don't change the number, make sure come spring you file your taxes before the "mom" has a chance to file first claiming her. (it's a mess to fight) GOOD LUCK!
