Wow, get some new information. Your opinion, and facts are two different things. Stop shopping around your opinions as facts. That's careless. It is harmless to bathe your cat and they really don't get that stressed out over it to the point where it could be considered cruel. Find a new hobby. Please.

My cats roll in poo and just leave it to bake and crust, so regular baths are needed lol

I'd say she needs to get some new information. At least when dude up there spreads his repeatedly he actually has the education to back it up. I say that because I've also spoken to a lot of vets about this and they say the same thing that he does. If you don't like the debate...stop reading.

Is this all that you do? Try getting facts instead of spreading your personal opinions around as facts.

I like your shirt girlyy!!!!
SWEET cat.
Seriously though, I find that unless your cat has hurt a paw or something, it's completely unnecessary to bathe it, it's usually perfectly capable of keeping clean by itself.
And if the cat is that unhappy about it, it's not nice no matter how much it needs it. :( You should care more about the cat's happiness than your carpets.
Anyway, putting that aside, that's not really the right way to bathe your cat =/ you should read that link yourself!!

I've posted that link to provide info that show ppl with your opinion (read old comments) that cats may be bathed, I didn't follow it in this particular bath... anyway, point me what's wrong in how I've done it...I'm sure I didn't harm my kitty, she actually loves to be bathed 2-3 times/year during summer hot days. Have other things ppl don't bother to think b4 say what they think they think... Lets say that she wouldn't be alive today if I didn't brought her home (this is real but relevant).

Humans took many centuries to think they've learn how to clean themselves. You can find lots of theories, from bath everyday to none at all, using this or that. This happens with humans, and I know some. They have their opinion, what can I say?in 100 years well be all remembered as retarded ppl,as we remember ppl from 1900,don't even need to go that far. Things and opinions are dynamic, changing all the time based on how far we think we can see.I don't see as far as I'd like too,but thats how we are.

alright, as a vet student i am fully aware of the fact that you aren't do any serious harm to your cat by bathing it but i need to ask why go through the process at all. the cat doesn't need it and it seemed like it was trying to escape the whole time (evidence in the wet marks on the man's legs). i'm not telling you to stop, i'm just wondering why.

Thx for the comment... at that time she was 1 year old. No fleas, and not dirty at all (not that much). If cats go adult, with no water experience, will be much harder to give them a good bath when really needed... Try to run is normal (instinct) even if she likes water, the shampoo part cannot be aborted when its already aplyed... I only do that in summer period, and I can assure you she loves, even if at a point she wants to run.

okay, thanks for replying but you didn't asnwer my question. why are you doing this to your cat? was she excessively dirty or rolled in something smelly? or are you just bathing her because you want her to smell a certain way?

Hygienic purposes only...
But when well done, you get confidence enough from the animal (I've seen dogs that hate water pretty more than any of the cats I have or had) to make it easier with the time. Education in progress... her vet say thx.
