@Clark30Super I was in Haiti in April 2011 for 2 weeks. Port au Prince was hit hard. Farther north not so much. Up by Gonaives is more prone to flooding. In 2008 there was much damage from flooding. Our team put a roof on a canteen for a school in Mapou Chevalier. A life changing experience for sure. I plan on returning in the next 5 years. It is a great country with great people that do the best they can with what they have.

You guys have to Remember that this Island before it was Divided Was called the Española the most beautiful island as christopher columbus said. Haiti is beutiful but i was much more precious during the early times, haiti looks the way it looks now mainly because of the French exploiting the land with their Sugar cane mills. Haiti use to have very fertile lands and still does. Im Dominican but i acknowledge Haitian as hard working people.

I wondering about that also.... I think it's only the capitol.
Every country is beautiful and ugly - it depends on what you want to see.
For me, there is no more beautiful country than Haiti. m´ renmen Ayiti
