Final Fantasy VI Playthrough (132) Magi Master

We collect the Gem Box Relic which teaches X-Magic (doublecast). When we walk out we find a bunch of cult members and the boss Magi Master waiting for us.

Magi Master uses strong magic and can change his elemental weakness. You can first negate his magic by casting berserk on him. Next cast Vanish or Golem on your characters because his physical attacks are pretty powerful as well. It's best to attack him with non-elemental attacks. Make sure to cast Life 3 on your characters before you administer the finishing blow, becuase his dying gift to you is a special round of Ultima.

You can learn it from the Ragnarok esper (obtained in Narshe), or learn if from the Paladin Shield (also obtained in Narshe).

this boss battle is so tough for me. i fought this guy and all my characters had reflect also without using ultima. you should try it it is not fun also at the end of the battle my characters survived just because i casted life 3 luckily.

p.s all characters are lvl 36-35.
