Wow! Will wonders never cease? On the February 23, 2008 edition of "Cavuto on Business" that aired on the FOX Business Network, Ben Stein let 'er rip!

During a discussion of the possibility that Michael Moore's "Sicko" might win an Oscar, Stein argued that the rich should be willing to pay more taxes in order to facilitate better health coverage for those Americans who cannot afford it.

When Rupert Murdoch started the FOX Business Network, he said his objective was to reach out to "Main Street" Americans with happy, upbeat news about the greatness of American business.

I find it ironic that none of the FOX hosts seems to have a shred of respect for or knowledge about what it takes to make it - day to day - on the real Main Streets of America!

At one point Charles Payne says that the green movement has been a "godsend" for American business because, as he says, "all you have to do is take a shampoo, put 'green' on it and sell it for ten cents more."

Need I say more?

  • @kra5139 At points of wealth that you may not have nor never will reach, Yes, Ben is right. This republic is about the resources being owned by everyone. No one doesn't depend on the human rights of all Americans and just because one has more money they shouldn't ever let their increase be at the expense of others..If we didn't have fractional monetary each person wouldn't mean each dollar has less value so the Bankers are always giving more dollars with less value into the economy.

  • At some point in taxes we found a rate that worked, i would say round the 80s 90s then we killed the fed income and we want to blame our budget on social programs even though they existed in the prosperous times of clinton and reagan. Lots of money is being spent to tell the country to give the rich billions in cuts then pay for it in cutting billions in medicare, social security ect. it sure isnt intended to save the usa from economic ruin as it is for... even more time on the golf course

  • You are an envious, shameless, thief !!!! Wrap yourself in " do it for the poor or you are an immoral bastard." However you are still a thief.

  • That woman who said she wanted to buy a bently because she missed many nights spending with her kids... you don't need to be a liberal to find that disgusting. Does anyone know her name?

  • ....very very small of it

raise there taxes god damn it

  • THERE IS a moral responsibility for the rich to help more than the average when there is no physical or emotional need for a bentley a bentley will not cure your diseases and wont extend your life in anyway...why have it besides the fact of just wanting it.....how can the rich live with themselves buying outrageously priced material objects and not helping their fellow americans

throwing there american made money into the world market and not back into the US economy was and is a very very very.

  • @lurchutube You like Ben too? I see him on CNN a lot.

  • Stein is wrong. If you want to make health care cheaper, then make it cheaper. Eliminate frivolous lawsuits and enable competition over state lines. Of course they'll never consider these reforms because that's how THEIR bread is buttered, THEM being the ones writing the laws. It is not right for me to be required to pay for Joe-blow's health care, whether I have $50 in the bank or $50,000,000. And if you want to start talking about CHARITY instead of WELFARE that's another topic entirely.

  • Wow that black guy is an uncle tom, LOL

  • it makes me so frustrated. i understand the american hard work ethic, but when you are flaunting about buying a $300,000 car while sitting in rockefeller center. While, most likely, thousands of people are headed to their 2nd job as a fry cook just to pay rent and a few bills. I bet she doesn't even know what the minimum wage is... do you think people like that can afford health care? especially when they get denied from some bogus claim.
