Fishing for Crayfish - Fishing for Crayfish in the muddy waters of the Rio Grande river - This is actually a little mini diversion canal that comes off the Rio Fishing for Crayfish in the waters of the Rio Grande river - This is actually a little mini diversion canal that comes off the Rio Grande, but it is still part of the Rio Grande river. In the video you can watch us fish for little crayfish or crawdads. We use either worms or hotdogs as bait. The hotdogs work much better. We mainly use handmade fishing sticks instead of fishing rods although one of the kids was using a mini fishing rod with a worm/hotdog combo bait. We keep all the crayfish in a little bucket just to keep track of how many we catch. Then at the end of the day we dump them all back into the ditch. Fishing is fun!
