Minecraft Village 3D Print

A 3D model of a minecraft-village, exported directly out of the game world using a modified minecraft.print() script, colored using CAD software, and printed on a Zprinter 650.

Block size is only 1mm in this model, the overall size is 360x250x60 mm.

What does it do when you have vines, half steps, steps, etc?

minecraft.print() ignores half-blocks, only full ones are exported. With the tool Mineways it is possible to export half blocks, but its experimental because they are often not well suited for 3d printing and will break easily.

By any chance how much would you ask for to 3d print a simple huge mansion?

Ask the nice folks from Sculpteo or Shapeways, they will print your mansion for you. Size is the relevant cost factor in 3D printing (in terms of volume), so it depends on the scale of the model (blocks should be at least 1mm^3, better go for 8mm^3). Mineways is a great export tool that will also calculate the cost for you.
