at first i was thinking "damn thats a really low rpm!" then i realized it was background noise LOL

@wideload16 The japanese used them during ww2 to resupply island bases without airfield from cargo carriers at sea.

nah they'll shoot ak at it and what would that do
half dozen pair of 50 cals on a ship would do the job
-
This concept could be used by the shipping industry to get a gryro to protect a container ship against pirate attacks.. do you think you could land this on a pitching deck.

I am going to buy a gyro as a kit in Brazil and I would like to know where can I buy the parts that I can put im my Gyro to make it jump takeoff capable.
Thanks

@kikocaipira , Unfortunately the parts to make a gyro jump are not for sale. The few gyros that jump are custom made by the owners. Carter Copter had a single place gyro that had jump capabilities but they are not yet selling that technology to the public.

does this model have a collective control... or is the main rotor fixed...???
generovox 2 years ago
Yes it does have a collective. The rotor pitch is only changed during the takeoff sequence and then is fixed during flight.

very nice, to do this, do you leave on that pre-rotator thing while takeing off and shut it down a bit later after you take off nearly vertical?
miniheli 3 years ago
The pre-rotator is disengaged prior to the jump. If it was still engaged during the jump the airframe would spin due to the engine torque applied to the airframe.
