So, you can consider these trees to be saved when somebody collects them, because, nobody cares for this widely spread weed across the Adriatic coast.

So, when we collect trees, we try to find locations that haven't been "cleaned" from bush growth for years. And, there's no hill here where orientalis growes. And this plants are not "very old scrub trees", but rather young and vigourous growing fast spreading weeds.

You obviously have no clue what collecting yamadori or bonsai starter material looks like. Even more, you have no clue what average croatian seaside terrain looks like. According to that facts, it would be much wiser not to comment things you do not understand very good.

These areas that are seen on videos are every few years cut to the ground by local farmers, or even better, they just burn the whole area to clean the land from growth of carpinus orientalis which is a weed for that people.
