@Outdoorsforum I feel the same way. Im still iffy about buying a 30-06 or a 7mm Im leaning to the 7mm but every1 who hunts in my fam says 7mm is 2 much gun for me...
@gunguy40 Yeah I do, but I still use my 30-06 when going after moose or other large game animals. It's funny you mention Elmer Keith, I was thinking of buying a .44 magnum Lever action.
@gunguy40 Any way you spin it, your still getting meat on the table. If you don't have a confident shot, don't shoot, that's the bottom line. I know people who dropped caribou with a 22 Mag, it's called skill you either have it or you don't.
@Squishysforbreakfast The idea that a smaller cartridge takes game more ethically than a larger one is appauling to me. Bottom line, shoot the largest round you can shoot straight.
This man speaks the truth, it doesn't matter if you are using a .400 Nitro Express, if you aren't confident in your shot, don't shoot. Plain and simple, not to mention I've seen the 30-30 take out Moose for cryin out loud!
That bullet would fit well in this nitwits brain. Stop killing the animals you worthless...
