  • I'm trippin....I NEVER knew there were so many girl bands....damn media.

  • @Khultan yeah, i know, when you watch any documentary on the 60s you would think there were only a couple dozen groups doing it all....

  • 1:02 - the Mama Cats. Same 4 women as Honey Ltd.

2:02 - Honey Ltd on tour with Bob Hope in Vietnam. See vid watch?v=gDN9yI49NrQ

  • @super70bird thanks, yeah, seen the video and heard a couple tracks, more vocal group than garage band, but i like them...any more info on them

  • @blacflag Agreed, mostly a singing group but did write most of their material. Great article at: furious dot com slash PERFECT slash honeyltd dot html

  • @super70bird thanks, that was good, some interesting connections...unbelievably i just managed to track down a rip of their album...liking it, esp. for your mind

  • Y'know something, I am tired of hearing about the so called 60s big groups. There were thousands of kids getting into the rock n roll scene. Where are the videos of them?!?

  • thanks for making this series, great history here!

  • @smokeemonkee Here's a lead for you: Jelly Bean Bandits.

  • @Khultan Where are the videos of the lesser-known 60's bands? Most of the videos of 60's garage bands I've come across were stored in a shoebox in somebody's closet. Check out the documentary TEEN A GO-GO for a bunch of what you are talking about...try a google search using TEEN A GO-GO.

  • Can you share with me what girl band is singing "Got My Mojo Working" on this slide show?

  • @blacflag Blacflag, I think, the 1960s era actually really had more proactive women in rock n roll than any other era and that's combining the genres punk rock and hip hop together.

  • Dear blacflag, the band at 2:06? Thanks

  • @blacflag When I'm watching a documentary, they seem to show only the top charters and it doesn't give a wide perspective of the era, in this case, the 1960s. The rest aren't even footnotes, though none that I see here were featured in the docs that I saw. I don't want to hear about The Ronettes, The Supremes, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, I'm sick to death of hearing them. I wannna know about the other people.
