Hunter S. Thompson (1937-2005) on the Iraq War & the Bush Presidency
On Sunday the founder of 'gonzo' journalism, died at the age of 67 of an apparent suicide. Today we are air a Jan. 2003 interview Thompson gave on KDNK in the Roaring Fork Valley in Colorado. An excerpt: "Bush is really the evil one here and it is more than just him. We are the Nazis in this game and I don't like it. I am embarrassed and I am pissed off. I mean to say something. I think a lot of people in this country agree with me--a lot than that are saying anything...we'll see what happens to me if I get my head cut off next week—it is always unknown or bushy-haired strangers who commit suicide right after wards with no witnesses."
"There is no reason for war in Iraq except oil" one of Hunter S Thompson quote.

@davewoodring i have friend that took lots of acting classes, and she said it wasn't staged. security guard looked proggrammed that was attacking the camera man also. For the whole thing to be staged, the guards were on drugs then.

@umhalil i wasn't saying you were a chicken shit, i notice a lot of insecure sheeple in public all the time is what i wanted to say. I'm very observant and it makes me sick at the lack of awareness going on.

@umhalil Yes and they have cell phones now, so when you ask them direct question they call cops or whoever on you chicken shits everywhere, had a former boss just cause i was riding near where he lived. He was like them reptile heads in the movie "They Live" fake human being.

I was befuddled that he went out the way he did. Not that he wasn't destined to take his own life -- that seemed probably with the little understanding I have of him. But that he allowed his loved ones to witness it in the way he did. Especially in light of the quote you listed in the description here. Thanks for posting ithis vid, Dan.
