Decent but unfairly obscure R & B number from 1988,featured on 'The Hit Man and Her'.Sorry for the occasional dropouts in sound and vision (old recording!).

  • OMG! Thank you for uploading that.

Yes, we were somewhat obscure. Not surprising, given our record company forgot to actually send any records to the shops for our first single...

  • @oscarsnr

Happy to oblige! It should have got in the charts in '88 (how come the record company failed to distribute it?) ,but at least someone remembers it (me).

  • Fab memories! I have the CD single in my collection - thought 'Running For Your Love" was a good track too.

  • I remember those days watching Novemeber 1 as they broke through playing gigs at Tudors and at the Middlesex and Herts Country Club back in the day. They should reform man! Junior

  • Got the tip-off from RF . . . . Memories. How cheesy was this??? Quite amusing to see Pete Waterman looking completely uninterested in a few shots during this video. Well, we had a laugh anyway.

Good effort Oscar and JF Bridge and yes, you are spot on - the issue we had was with BBLB flopping when it might have stood a chance of charting quite well. We were a very low priority act though, you could sense that.

  • thank you so much for finding this! it brings back a lot of memories! im the guitarist in this band. just think what we could have done if we had a decent record company! eh oscar. thanks again

  • @ftimings Felicity!!

  • That keyboardist is so cool....

  • Ah, well, there are things they don't tell you when you sign a big company record deal (like 95% of bands are there just to make the numbers up!) SS got to 99 in the charts, if I recall. Doing HM&H show was fun, even if it did mean being up all night!

The issue was actually with our 1st single (Big Boy Little Boy), which was a shame as it got 2 weeks of Radio 1 airplay and won record of the week. All water under the bridge now.

  • sweet ! unfortunately they don`t make music like this anymore
