@Firechild14 That is explained in Arcadia when you see two dead guys with masks on, Atlas explains that they hid there ugly and tried to forget how beautiful they all used to look.

i think they are wearing the masks because they are hideous and dont want to look at eachother or they all went crazy at one of the parties you wear masks at and just didnt take them off?
