Would you say the second one is better for picking, and 1st one is better for strumming? Because I can't seem to strum up and down with second method.

Marty friedman has 14 accounts.

Another good piece of advice is to use the Jazz picks (smaller and poitier). They improve your control and precision.
Try the Dunlop Tortex Jazz picks.

I THINK THE SECOND WAY IS BETTER COZ THE PICK SLOWLY LOSES DOWN ON HE FIRST METHOD

@guitarzhero21 Hi guitarzhero21, for me i found that when i do a lot of strumming with the 1st tech my wrist gets a bit more tired out, i suppose because i have the angle my wrist/hands more as compare to the 2nd tech. Whereas with the 2nd tech, i feel more natural or egronomical in terms of how my hand is positioned for strummings. Other then that, i can't tell which is better :)

Hi man.
I just want to tell you that you helped me a lot.
I've switched from 2nd to 1st tech and it's feels much better...all the instructors are forcing (in most cases even not showin 1st tech) 2nd tech but it's different for each hand.
Anyway, tnx and keep going.
