@ukusapillage actually they are right, because if let say spain, wanted to colonize, sudan they would have gotten in war with the UK, as a reaction of that war spain could choose to seek help from either france or germany, wich could have sparked a major war in europe. good enough reason for the larger colonial powers, to give the smaller ones a free ride into expansion. a F for you dude.
(note that i use spain as a example, i don't know anything about there diplomacy, or balance of power.)

i never saw something so badly done, with giggles in middle and just wrong information like the samll countrys only where able to keep colonys because the larger countrys allow them to, yeah sure like we needed other countrys to allow us to have colonys, first colonys on the planet where portuguese and existed 300 years before german or english, typical dumb documentary or school work, i give this a d
