Makes the point well. But the right diagnosis is important. Online education is part of a series of profound changes in how university/college administrators are funding, situating, and managing higher education. Online education can be good, but if it's good, it won't be cheap. And of course the whole point is that it should be cheap. The instructors would probably like to do things differently, but it is more work than traditional teaching. Online learning is also more work for the student.

Part of my job is to encourage our lecturers to be more interactive - to stop their online sites being just a noticeboard and more of a Virtual LEARNING Environment. Great vid - I'll show it to my lecturers x

Great video, I am showing this to people who develop online material. I think it is a good reminder for them to develop engaging and innovative material and don't use the online environment not only as a repository. Well done!

are all your classes really like this? I've had some over my few years in college, but I've also had great professors and classmates that help build meaningful dialogues and perspectives. One has to seek those out though, and find the best possible opportunities out there....
