Do you have a hard time unplugging? Online gamers meet in person at the 2008 Fan Faire convention.

FRONTLINE "Digital Nation" is a multiplatform project exploring what it means to be human in a 21st-century digital world. Watch the TV documentary now online at http://www.pbs.org/frontline/digitalnation/

In a unique collaboration with the public that began on the "Digital Nation" Web site, award-winning producer Rachel Dretzin and commentator Douglas Rushkoff probe how digital technology is changing nearly every aspect of modern culture, from the ways we think and learn to the ways in which we socialize, work and even conduct war. Is it possible to multitask well? Is too much digital media bad for young brains? Should we fight wars by remote control? What are the real-world effects of immersion in virtual worlds? Watch online beginning and share your story of life in the digital age at http://www.pbs.org/frontline/digitalnation/ .

FRONTLINE is produced by WGBH Boston and is broadcast nationwide on PBS. Funding for FRONTLINE is provided through the support of PBS viewers. Major funding for FRONTLINE is provided by The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. Additional funding is provided by the Park Foundation. "Digital Nation" is brought to you by the Verizon Foundation.

  • meh...qq afk and lol..really tho if they are nerds..well join the millions who play games...hear their stories why they play..real life is boring..and really in the end its no different than sports nuts, trekkies and every other fan who may go a little far in their diversion.

  • 0:56 Wooo! Iced tap water! Wooo!

  • @SpaghettiJimmyWINS considering that EverQuest didn't even start until 99, that is kind of a silly statement. EQ is still alive and going strong, in fact they are still making expansions for it, as well as EQ2 which is probably the second most popular MMO around ((or first depending on how you want to look at Blizzards over exagerated WoW figures))

  • @thehostler agreed lol... i class my self as a gamer and all i play is Fifa and MW2 on the 360 loooool

  • @thehostler hahah....looks fun...RIP my 52 fury :(
