This video was filmed inside a PEUGEOT 205, this car was my brother he now no longer owns it!

This was the description used when selling the car!
"With receipts to prove £30,000 spent on the car in the last 4yrs all by myself and all on performance parts you could buy a road legal racer that has done a 12.2 sqm at santa pod and has timed 0 - 100 in 9.6 seconds, Generating well over 300bhp (RR Graphs to prove) and still retaining FWD.

Engine wise the engine has been re built at the cost of £6000 by Peugeots race development firm. This included custom made pistons, and rods, seriously modified cylinder head, and slightly modified version of the camshaft found in the 306 S16. Turbo charger is a modified version of the VAT 25 rs turbocharger which has 2 actuators due to variable internals and boosts at 2.2 bar (32 psi) and settles at 1.9bar (29psi) all the way to the 7200rpm rev limiter. All of the engines cooling has been re designed with Pace making all the custom parts required.

Transmition wise the 6 speed gearbox acquired from a 306 GTI-6 has been stripped and rebuilt a cosworth tunning firm to cope with just short of 400ft/lb of torque. The drive train has also been further considered with the a LSD similar to that used in the 2003 BTTC Peugeot, with similar motorsport drive shafts.

Suspension wise the car has group N engine mounts, Upgraded bushes all round the car, group N wishbones and lower arms, and coilovers, lastly TAS excentric top mounts are used. This set up generates just under 3 degree of negative camber which is a good thing to have when on the track.
This set up was installd by Peugeot Ecosse in Scotland.

Induction wise the car uses a piper X filter which i think provides enough filtration and the exhaust is a 'work of art' with a straight through 3 1/2 inch bore system from the turbo back

Brakes has been upgraded with Tarox 6 pot caliper on the front with 280mm discs and Mintex pads, rear is standard discs but mintex pads. Braided lines have been installed all round.


The video show's the first run going through the gears and the second part is 55-130 in 6'th gear all the time!
The car was featured in performance GTI magazine, and is proven to be the fastest accelerating car in UK!!"

The video was filmed on a test track in damp conditions so take that into account, and thats why there is so much wheelspin.

  • You lot make me laugh, everybody is so quick to jump down each others throats. Its easy see when you wheelspin in gear at lets say 6000rpm your speedo will read the speed you would be doing at 6000rpm under traction, when you disengage the clutch to up-shift the wheels stop spinning and can give a actual speed. The speedo cant even be powered by an electric signal like a rev counter because the speedo is spun by a cable and lastly T16 = any TURBO 16valve XU engine.

  • Tribute to 205... ! This has to be 205GTi swapped with 2.0L T16 from 405T16. Few years ago I was thinking that it's fake, now I know it's not possible there was bowden used to power speedo... It's quite dangerous to spin your wheels when going 100mph ;-) Congrats. Really nice!

    Probably Mi16 engine with turbo, or T16 engine from Peugeot 405 and swapped under the hood of 205. Very common project really.

    And actually you are wrong about the 205 T16 Group B car - it's called 205 Turbo 16.

  • Saw this car once a few years ago, back when we all used to gather between the 2 round abouts at juntion 27 of the M1. Damn! it was quick...
