Destroying Saddam and the Taliban there was a good thing. This "win the hears and minds" bullshit is for politicians but amazingly no US politicians have to do a 12 or 15 month tour over there...funny how that is. They send soldiers trained to shoot and pilots trained to bomb there and try to make them into Ambassadors of Goodwill.
If Congress had to spend 12 or 15 months there then the US would have left there Jan 2002.
