Kenny Allen also known as KAlyn or simply K, is a talented multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter whose music is a rich amalgam of organic jazzy grooves, poetic and insightful lyrics, rocked out guitar anthems and keen compositional chops that draw from the best elements of folk and funk (Jimi Hendrix) R&B, (Stevie Wonder) and soul (Sting). A product of the 70s under the sign of Capricorn.
This Washington, DC native who graduated from the University of Maryland declares that: "My music is music from and for the soul. I exist for live music; music that is improvisational and percussive; music to dream to. I want to be an example of grace and beauty through sound.
He moved to Africa in december 2005, precisely in Addis Abeba Ethiopia to perform and keep closer to the roots.
