Acting Out Ch.6

We called the doctor and he came over, we then ended up having to go to the hospital to get an xray, then a cast, nick not only made my wrist purple, but he fractured my wrist. We got home and dani dropped me home and I walked inside
I went inside just as dad was calling the boys down. We all sat at the dinner table, I sat next to dad, Kevin was on the end and nick and joe were across from us. I could tell they both were sore when they sat down, as was i.
We said prayer and started eating, I ate bit by bit slowly.
Dad- so, joe and nick will be getting a spanking every day this week on the bare, and Charlie, If you dont mind, I would appreciate it if you could come in and be present once or twice.
I slightly nodded, not looking up from my food. I felt someone kick me under the table, I looked up and joe was staring at me with a mad expression. Nick looked up from his food, scowling at me too, nobody else noticed. For the next fifteen minutes nick and joe continued to give me dirty looks, joe kicked me again under the table. I pushed my plate forward on the table and stood up.
Dad- Charlie, where are you going? Youve hardly eaten.
Charlie- Im not hungry
I stated quietly then turned and rushed up to my room.
I layed on my bed and buried my face in my pillow, someone knocked on the door and then it opened.
Kevin- Charlie, can we talk?
I sat up and nodded, kev came over to me and sat down.
Kevin- Im sorry I slapped you, you know I didnt mean it, and that I love you with all of my heart and that If I was allowed I would be punching joe and nick right now.
I nodded.
Kevin- do you forgive me?
Charlie- you werent as bad as nick and joe, you apologised straight away and you cried, the boys didnt, they didnt care
A couple of tears fell down my face.
Kevin- come here honey.
He held out his arms for a hug and I crawled over and hugged him, he kissed my forehead and held me close.
Kevin- are you sure you dont want anything else to eat, you left the table pretty quickly.
I didnt answer, I just nuzzled my face into his neck.
Kevin- what if I take you to get something to eat and we can sit on the beach and relax.
I looked up at him and nodded.
Kevin- okay, you get ready.
He stood up and left, I put my jeans, wincing as the material touched my sore bottom, I put on a top got my phone and walked out of my room, I went to kevins room and walked in, he was getting his wallet and phone.
Kevin- you ready?
I went over to his closet and took out one of his hoodies and put it on, then turned to him and nodded. We walked downstairs, Joe and nick were cleaning up after dinner and dad was on the phone, it sounded like the doctor from earlier today.
Kevin took a notepad and wrote down something, then handed it to dad.
Dad- excuse me for a minute.
He said to the person on the other end of the phone, then turning to us.
Dad- be home by ten please, and be careful with your wrist honey.
We both nodded then went out. We got me some food and then sat on the beach, we talked while I ate.
Kevin- does it hurt?
I nodded.
I finished eating and leant my head against kevins shoulder.
Kevin- how,, how did they do it??
He asked, having a hard time saying it.
Kevin- the way dad acted, it must have been bad.
He said with a shakey voice.
Charlie- they used a belt and and, it was,, bare
His arms tightened around me.
Kevin- Im sorry, I knew he was mad that he was getting a spanking, I shouldnt have left him in the house alone with you, come on, its almost ten, we better get back.
Charlie- they scare me, I, I dont wanna go back home
He sighed.
Kevin- you need to come home honey.
Charlie- n..no, I cant, what if they come in and hurt me again.
Kevin- Im gonna call dad.
He took out his phone and called our home phone, nick answered and I gripped kevins arm.
Kevin- nick, its Kevin, is dad there?
Nick- its two minutes till ten, hes waiting for you two.
Kevin sighed.
Kevin- put dad on please.
Nick- you two are in trouble, maybe dad will finish off our job on Charlie huh?
He laughed and a minute later dad was on there.
Dad- hello?
He said, with that authority voice that makes me shiver.
Kevin- dad, its Kevin, Charlie doesnt want to come home, shes too scared, you should see her, she has tears running down her face, shes shaking and has a death grip on my arm, like, she is almost cutting off the blood circulation, and it was only since nick answered the phone and she heard him.
