@KCiAzN except the TEAMS were much better defensively.. Bad Boy Pistons with Joe Dumars (Top 5 perimeter defender) 90's knicks, Pacers, Jazz, Heat.. C'mon son!

@panthersfantre MJ had arguably the best perimeter defender of all time and one of the top SF in the history of the game for all of his rings not to mention one of the best rebounders and defender in the history of the game for his other three. Bringing up teammates is a weak argument. You roll with the hand you're dealt with and Kobe's made the best of his situation. MJ had two hall of famers for 3 of his rings while Kobe's last two championships were won with 1 borderline hall of famer.

@panthersfantre Kobe was guilty of cheating on his wife, nothing more. Case never even went to trial. I understand it's easier for a blind hater like you to believe he raped her but our American justice system ruled otherwise. And do we really want to delve in to MJ's extra marital affairs ? Neither are a saint in that category and the topic has nothing to do with our discussion. The fact that you brought this up just reveals how nonobjective you are towards Kobe.

@KCiAzN yea thts what happened when ya rape women! what obstacles? he had the most dominant bigman for 3 of his 5 championships leading the way. then a lopsided af trade brought him another two. yea thts alot of hard obstacles haha!

@TreyAllen92 like who ? Drexler, Hornaceck, Byron Russell ? Those were the guys who guarded Jordan back in his prime. Guards today are more athletic, physically stronger, and faster than the guards Jordan went up against. There was never a SG like Wade that MJ had to guard and any objective fan knows that Kobe does not get the same ref treatment that MJ enjoyed.

@snowman78619 oh I don't know.. like potentially going to prison while still maintaining composure to play an NBA game ? MJ was completely protected by the league and the media once he started winning rings, the same can't be said for Kobe.

@KCiAzN I agree except Jordan had WAY more to overcome. Sure Kobe's had more hate, but in terms of players and teams.. Jordan had so many HOF's to compete against

I'm glad I've been a witness of Kobe's greatness. Truly a remarkable career. He might not have gained all the accolades MJ received, but the man's faced and overcame far more obstacles than MJ ever had to deal with.
