"Aloha Oe" is Queen Lili'uokalani's most famous song and a common cultural Leitmotif for Hawaii. The song was inspired by her horseback trip which she took in 1877 to the windward side of O'ahu. Queen Lili'uokalani was the last monarch and only queen regnant of the Kingdom of Hawaii.
