  • I grew up walking the area south of the Conowingo Dam.... we'd bring a bait bucket and some nightcrawlers and fish the grass beds for white perch- collect about a dozen and then walk out to the holes (secret holes that VERY FEW) know about and are really amazing places to catch MONSTER smallies. I'd be willing to take someone out here in the summer if you're interested. whoever is really interested in seeing a secret spot and secret technique passed down to me from generations past- I'm game.

  • @jwparfrey Hey, that sounds like fun. Please let me know when that turns on for you. The river has been a mess all spring so far. I cant wait for it to settle down so I can get out there. Please stay in touch! Thanks, Brett

  • @MyFishingBuddy Well my email is JaredWParfrey@comcast.net ...

Let me know when you're interested- mid summer is always great. We've been trolling deep holes down below the Bay Bridge lately... not much luck on our boat. We just realized we were bringing bananas on board!

  • @jwparfrey oh my...never, never, never bring bananas on a boat, LOL. Stay in touch and let's definitely hook up for a trip sometime.

  • @jwparfrey Oh no! Never, ever bring bananas on a boat, LOL. Yes, stay in touch and let's go fishing sometime!

  • Where do you go for these giants? I go fishing on the Susquehanna all the time and catch bronzebacks, but not as big as yours! What's your gear and tackle?

  • @Bassfanatic94

Howdy. Yes, I do catch more big smallies than most. No real secrets other than throwing the right lures at the right time. Depending on conditions, I use spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, swimbaits, jigs. flukes, etc. Again...it's about choosing the best lures for the conditions, for the biggest fish. I plan on doing more "how to" videos, so please stay tuned. Thanks

the warm water discharge at peach bottom is a great winter spot! In the 80's there used to be tons of stripers in there. Good luck and send me some pictures sometime.

  • hi i have a place in delta PA you i have a boat me and my dad go fishing you know "warm water discharge" in peach bottem caught a 32 inch catfish there! u know any places good for bass fishing thanks, nice video

  • Hi, I fish from Harrisburg south to the Conowingo dam. I guess my secret is that I fish the right baits at the right times for big fish. I think too many people are throwing tubes most of the year, LOL. Big baits for big fish when conditions are right for it. Believe it or not, most of my fish are caught on spinnerbaits...BIG ones. I quite often throw 1/2 to 1 oz spinnerbaits. Big swimbaits (6-8") work well too.
